How do they work?

In pigmentation treatments, we treat the desired area with a chemical peel containing stronger concentrations to treat the desired area of work.

Pigmentation treatments are done to reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation by removing the epidermis.

Several health factors and issues may be responsible for causing pigmentation. Some specific diseases which can be treated with Pigmentation treatments are Melasma, Albinism and Vitiligo.

What are the complications?

These treatments have some common side-effects such as redness of the skin, swelling of the treated area and moderate irritation like that of a mild sun burn. In very rare cases the complications may lead to burning, scarring or some noticeable change in the pigmentation of the skin.

What is the aftercare for Pigmentation treatments?

We advise that you apply a post treatment balm to soothe the treated area and use cold pack or counter pain medication for any kind of discomfort or swelling. Exposure to the sun should be avoided for 7 to 10 days as it can lead to the occurrence of blisters and scabs.

When to expect the improvement?

It usually takes 2-3 weeks’ time for the effects of Pigmentation treatments to show. We recommend you use the prescribed creams for 12 months consistently to achieve permanent results. It has often been reported that by clients that pigmented spots have turned untraceable after 4-6 weeks.
